Leadership

Founder & CEO
Benton Miller
For Benton Miller, retrievers have always been more than just pets—they’ve been family. Growing up with Labrador and Golden Retrievers, he developed a deep appreciation for their loyalty, energy, and adventurous spirit. These qualities shaped not only his love for dogs but also his vision for the future of pet travel.
When Benton and his wife, Whitney, welcomed their two Labradors, Maple and Willow, into their family, they dreamed of exploring the world together. However, every attempt to fly with them was met with confusing airline policies, restrictions, safety concerns, and uncertainty. The traditional pet travel system wasn’t designed for pet parents who wanted their dogs by their side.
Understanding that dogs only get about twelve years with their humans, Benton was determined to make those years count. He envisioned a world where pets could travel as seamlessly as their owners—where they could run through mountains, leap into lakes, and play fetch on the beach without being left behind.
That vision led to the creation of RetrievAir—a pet-first public charter operator designed to make flying with dogs peaceful, joyful, and safe. Inspired by the loyalty and adventurous spirit of retrievers, RetrievAir is built on the belief that pets deserve to be part of every journey, regardless of their size.
For Benton, RetrievAir isn’t just a business—it’s a personal mission. It’s a promise to Maple, Willow, and every pet owner who has ever struggled to travel with their four-legged family members. Because when the time comes to look back on life’s adventures, the best memories are the ones shared together.
Life is better with your best friends right by your side!

Co-Founder & Senior Advisor
Mark Williams
With more than 30 years of global aviation experience, Mark Williams brings operational and industry expertise to startup RetrievAir, along with a deep understanding of the travel and aviation industries.
Williams, a Toronto native, is a Chartered Accountant/Chartered Professional
Accountant (CA/CPA). His extensive experience includes various senior positions with Canadian Airlines where he rose to the rank of Vice President and Controller before moving from finance to operational responsibilities. He was responsible for redesigning the company’s supply chain management strategies and developing Vancouver into a hub airport for the airline.
Williams then served as Chief Financial Officer for Aeroxchange Ltd., a leading aviation technology company focused on developing software for the global aviation supply chain community. Williams’ skills were soon sought out back home where he was offered a position in Toronto as President and Chief Operating Officer of Skyservice Airlines Inc.
He later left Skyservice to work with Sunwing Vacations to create a start-up airline to complement their existing tour operating business. Sunwing Airlines’ first flight was on November 17, 2005, and subsequently, Sunwing Travel Group grew to become the second largest leisure travel company in Canada.
Williams retired after the announcement of the sale of Sunwing Airlines to WestJet. He served on the Board of The Air Transportation Association of Canada for over 10 years, including a term as Chairperson of the Board.
Most recently, he was so inspired by the idea of RetrievAir that he came out of
retirement to co-found and serve as a senior advisor to the RetrievAir team.
In his spare time, Williams is an avid tennis player and enjoys traveling and spending time with his wife and adult children, as well as their rescue dog, Diego.
