Flying with Purpose

At RetrievAir, we believe the power of aviation should extend beyond travel. We remove the barriers of distance to save lives, expand access to pet adoption, and foster human-animal bonds.

The Rescue SEAT Program

In partnership with Southwest Animal Transport Team, our mission is to eliminate geographic barriers to pet adoptions. We do this by donating seats to rescue dogs and cats on their way to a second chance.

Rescue SEAT Success Stories

Bowie

Bowie

CalPaws K9 Rescue

The very first dog we ever flew. Bowie made the cross-country trip like the seasoned traveler he is — handsome, unhurried, and asleep before cruising altitude. He arrived exactly as he left: calm, dignified, and ready to be loved.
Fiona

Fiona

Ace of Hearts Los Angeles

Fiona didn’t sit still for a second on her flight — curious, happy, exploring everything. She arrived in Colorado the same way: ready to give all her love to her new family.
Baer

Baer

Ace of Hearts Los Angeles

Scheduled for euthanasia the next morning. By afternoon, Baer was on a plane with his brother — both of them headed to Colorado, each to a family of their own.
Theo

Theo

Ace of Hearts Los Angeles

Six years in a shelter. Theo never lost his calm — and on the day it finally mattered, he flew to Colorado cool as ever, ready for the life he’d been waiting for with a family who loves him.
Tulip

Tulip

Ace of Hearts Los Angeles

She was nervous boarding. By landing, she was home — held close the whole way. Tulip went from death row to tail wags in the span of a single flight.
Baguette

Baguette

Ace of Hearts Los Angeles

He landed in reindeer antlers and a grin. Baguette — saved the day before euthanasia alongside his brother — arrived in Colorado looking like he’d always belonged there.
Ragnar

Ragnar

Animal Friends of the Valley

Head high and ready for his second chance, Ragnar boarded his RetrievAir flight to a new home — a yard to run in and a family that loves him.
Molly

Molly

Ace of Hearts Los Angeles

Molly spent her flight wide-eyed and wondering — and touched down in Colorado to a family who’d been counting down the hours.
Mia

Mia

Ace of Hearts Los Angeles

Saved minutes before euthanasia. Mia stepped onto the plane full of puppy energy and landed in Colorado into arms that had been waiting just for her.
Barron

Barron

Ace of Hearts Los Angeles

A year of waiting. Then one flight. Barron pressed his face to the window all the way to Colorado — a big dog savoring every mile of his long-overdue fresh start.
Whisper

Whisper

Ace of Hearts Los Angeles

The first rescue of 2026. Whisper watched snow fall outside the window on her flight to Colorado — her first glimpse of a world that finally had a place for her.
Stormy

Stormy

Ace of Hearts Los Angeles

Nose pressed to the window the entire flight. Stormy treated every mile to Colorado like the adventure it was — a second chance at life.
Gordo

Gordo

Ace of Hearts Los Angeles

He made friends with every dog on the plane. Now Gordo — who almost didn’t make it out of the shelter — goes on stroller rides with his forever family in Colorado.
Mo

Mo

Ace of Hearts Los Angeles

The moment the plane door opened, Mo ran straight to his new dad. No hesitation. Just pure, unfiltered joy — the kind only a dog who almost didn’t make it can give.
Joey

Joey

Ace of Hearts Los Angeles

Joey — rescued just minutes before euthanasia — walked off the plane and into a celebration that was finally for him.
Rhonda

Rhonda

Ace of Hearts Los Angeles

413 days in foster care. Saying goodbye broke her foster mom’s heart. But Rhonda rode to her forever home in Colorado wearing her RetrievAir bandana like the champion she is.

Mission Possible

In a landmark collaboration, we partnered with The Sato Project to fly 37 Satos, or street dogs, from Puerto Rico to New Jersey, directly connecting them with their forever families. This “Freedom Flight” stands as a testament to what we can achieve through dedicated, mission-specific partnerships to clear shelters in times of critical need.

Flight Simulation Training

RetrievAir partnered with Guide Dogs for the Blind, supporting the journey of world-class service animals from their earliest days by hosting in-cabin and terminal training sessions to acclimate service dogs to the unique sights and sounds of air travel, ensuring a stress-free experience for future handlers.
